No. 1 Oklahoma beat No. 9 Georgia 198.475-197.975 on Friday in Athens, Georgia.
The Sooners (15-1, 7-1 SEC) edged out the Bulldogs (5-7, 3-5 SEC) with Faith Torrez and Jordan Bowers' all-around scores of 39.750 leading the way.
The Sooners started on the uneven bars and set the tone early, finishing with a post of 49.550 along with a team-high 9.950 post from Bowers. Georgia responded with a 49.575 led by a team high post of 9.950 from Ja’ Free Scott. Georgia won uneven bars 49.575-49.550.
The Georgia GymDogs began on vault, where freshman Nyla Aquino posted her highest scoring vault of the year, 9.950. Freshman Lily Pederson answered back with her 9.950 stick, where the Sooners were able to win the event 49.626-49.350.

After two rotations, the Sooners led 99.175-98.925.
The third rotation began with Oklahoma on floor and Georgia on balance beam.
Freshman Addison Fatta and Bowers each had posts of 9.950 on floor, contributing to OU’s 49.625 as a team. However, a season-high 9.925 from Csenge Bácskay and an event-high post of 9.975 from Nyla Aquino gave Georgia the edge in the event 49.675-49.625

Georgia posted a 49.375 on balance beam and Kara Eaker led the way with a season-high 9.925. Led by Torrez 9.975, the Sooners were able to bounce back on the beam to secure the event 49.675-49.375.
