The OU Board of Regents approved the next phase of the "Master Plan" for renovations to Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium at their meeting Wednesday, Oct. 24.

The renovations — named Bowl Improvement Project — will be focused on improvements in the lower bowl seating. The first phase was bowling the South end zone and replacing the North end zone scoreboard. The Bowl Improvement Project will include additional ADA seating and amenities, aisle improvements, Wi-Fi infrastructure, re-cladding of bench seats and more.

The estimated cost of the project is $14.9 million, with funding for the project to come through the athletics department capital funds and private donors.

There is no timetable for when the project will be complete.
