OMAHA, Neb. — Past and present OU football players, redshirt-seniors quarterback John Mateer, linebackers Kip Lewis and Owen Heinecke, and former OU linebacker Brian Bosworth, made the trip to Charles Schwab Field to support the Sooners’ baseball team as they take on No. 5 North Carolina in Game 3 of the College World Series finals on Monday.

Lewis, Heinecke and Bosworth join a long list of past and present OU athletes and coaches to show their support during the Sooners’ postseason run.

Mateer previously made the trip up to Omaha for the Sooners' 11-4 win over No. 3 Georgia on June 17 but was not accompanied by his teammates.

The Sooners have garnered incredible support in Omaha from notable OU football figures, including former head coaches Barry Switzer and Bob Stoops, current head coach Brent Venables and former OU quarterback and baseball player and current Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kyler Murray.
