When does the NFL Draft start?

What team gets the 1st pick?

The worst-performing team in the prior season picks first in the draft, with the Las Vegas Raiders starting this year’s. 

The team that picks last in the first round is the Super Bowl winner; this year, it is the Seattle Seahawks.

The NFL draft is split into seven rounds that have 32 picks each round, one for each team. All teams have one pick in each round, unless they have agreed to trades. The teams can trade draft picks for other draft picks, players or draft picks in the future.

How will the NFL Draft impact OU?

During the draft, OU players will find their new professional team and add more Sooners to the NFL. OU is projected to lose 15 players to the NFL Draft.
