A sexual assault was reported at the OU Bizzell Memorial Library Monday night, according to an alert from the OU Police Department.
Between 7 and 9 p.m. on Monday, a male victim reported an unknown male suspect was selling cookies when the suspect sat next to him and grabbed the victim’s genitals twice, according to the alert.
After, the suspect reportedly left the area and the victim called the police on Tuesday, describing the suspect as an Asian male in his mid-20s, approximately 5-foot-9 with brown hair.

In March, OUPD reported a sexual assault by an unknown male suspect who was described as an Asian male in his mid-20s, approximately 5-foot-7, with short hair and a mustache.
In the March alert, a male victim reported an unknown male grabbed his hands and placed them on the suspect’s clothed genital area.
The suspect then apologized and went to a restroom before the victim left the library and later called the police, according to the alert.
Chase Brooks, OUPD public information officer, told OU Daily the police department noticed the similarities between the incident reported in March and the one on Monday. He said OU police are investigating the similarities to determine if the suspect is the same person.
The investigation is ongoing.
