No. 1 Oklahoma (29-0) began the postseason with a victory at the Big 12 Championships, defeating No. 8 Denver, BYU, Iowa State and West Virginia with a NCAA record score of 198.950 in the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman on Saturday night.

This is OU’s fifthteenth and final time winning the conference title and its third consecutive Big 12 Championship win.

Oklahoma started the meet off on vault. Sophomore Faith Torrez, freshman Kiera Wells, sophomore Ava Siegfeldt, and senior Katherine LeVasseur all scored 9.900s. Freshman Hannah Scheible stuck her vault for a near-perfect 9.975, and junior Jordan Bowers earned her first 10 of the season on vault. The Sooners finished the rotation with a 49.675.

After taking its bye in the second rotation, Oklahoma came back on bars, and junior Danielle Sievers and LeVasseur were first up, each earning a 9.900. Fifth-year senior Ragan Smith posted a 9.950, and senior Audrey Davis’ anchor routine added another 9.975.

Bowers scored her second consecutive 10 to give OU a 49.725 on bars and bring the team score to 99.400.

Davis led off on beam with a 9.925, and Bowers earned the same score. Siegfeldt, Torrez, and LeVasseur all posted 9.950s. Smith, in the last Big 12 Championship of her career, added her fifth 10 of the season with her routine — it marked the 10th 10 of her career. The team scored a 49.775 to push its score to 149.175.

Finally, the Sooners took the floor. With the LNC waiting for OU’s final rotation, Davis led off for a 9.925 and LeVasseur earned a 9.950. To end the night, Torrez’s routine earned her first perfect 10 of her career, followed immediately by Bower’s third perfect 10 of the night for a 49.775 on floor.

In its final time to compete at the Big 12 Championships, OU broke records in a historic fashion.

In all four rotations, the Sooners either broke the Big 12 Championship record for the event or tied it. Their team score of 198.950 not only bested their all-time program high that was set last week, but also surpassed the highest score in NCAA history.

The team won several individual Big 12 championships on Saturday.

Bowers was crowned the co-floor, vault, and bars and co-floor champion, the all-around Big 12 champion with her 39.925, which tied the 2024 NCAA season high score and the Big 12 Gymnast of the Year. Smith was named the Big 12 beam champion for the second year in a row and the third time in her career. Torrez was selected as the Big 12 co-floor champion. To conclude the awards, K.J. Kindler was named the Big 12 Coach of the Year for the 13th time.

Next, Oklahoma will advance to regionals. Regional selections will be announced on March 25.
