No. 8 Oklahoma (6-1) lost its first game of the season 109-99 to No. 13 Duke (7-1) in overtime on Wednesday at Lee’s Family Forum in the Ball Dawgs Classic Championship in Henderson, Nevada.

The Sooners will look to respond against No. 24 Louisville at 4 p.m. on Dec. 4 in Louisville, Kentucky.

  • Senior guard Payton Verhulst had 29 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, earning her first triple-double this season.

  • Junior center Raegan Beers had 26 points, six rebounds and four assists.

  • Redshirt senior forward Skylar Vann had 13 points, three rebounds and seven assists.

  • Sophomore guard Sahara Williams had 12 points, three rebounds and two assists.

  • The Sooners shot 51% from the floor going 38 of 74. 

  • From the three-point range, Oklahoma shot 36%, making 8 of 22. 

  • Oklahoma continued to struggle with turnovers. In the first half, the Sooners had notched nine turnovers, allowing Duke to score 10 points off the mistakes. OU turned over the ball 18 times during the game.

  • Against Duke, Oklahoma shot 65% at the free throw line going 15-for-23. 

  • Against the Blue Devils, the Sooner had 24 fouls. Williams, Beers and redshirt senior guard Lexy Keys all finished the game with four personal fouls.
