No. 10 Oklahoma defeated Oklahoma Christian 114-47 in an exhibition Tuesday night.

Sophomore forward Sahara Williams scored 17 points on 7-for-12 shooting, And 2-for-5 from the free throw line. Williams also secured seven rebounds and four assists. 

Last season, Williams averaged 10.3 points per game, 5.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists. She was also a 2024 All-Big 12 Honorable Mention.

“This is what you work hard for,” Williams said. “And just being able to showcase that, especially with the new kind of team and going into a new conference, I think we’re all excited.”  

Redshirt senior forward Skylar Vann and senior guard Payton Verhulst also added 16 points.  

On Tuesday, Williams was named to the Cheryl Miller Award watch list. This award honors the top small forward in women’s Division 1 college basketball. 

Williams and the Sooners will begin the regular season against Southern University at 5 p.m. on Monday at the Lloyd Noble Center on SEC Network+.
