Oklahoma cracked into the AP Poll on Monday, coming in at No. 21.

OU’s ranking marks the first time the Sooners have made an appearance in the poll in the 2024-25 season. Last year, OU was ranked as high as No. 7 following a 10-0 start in non-conference play. The Sooners then went 10-12 over their next 22 games and missed out on the NCAA Tournament.

The Sooners currently sit at 7-0 and are coming off of a Battle 4 Atlantis tournament championship. OU defeated Providence (5-3), Arizona (3-4) and Louisville (5-2). The championship was the third straight multi-team event title for head coach Porter Moser during his time at OU.

OU has been led this season by senior forward Jalon Moore and freshman guard Jeremiah Fears. Moore has averaged 18.4 points and 5.9 rebounds, and Fears has averaged 16.9 points and 4.6 assists through seven games. Fears has been in the Sooners’ starting rotation for the last four games.

Next, the Sooners take on Georgia Tech (4-3) in the SEC/ACC challenge at 8 p.m. on Dec. 3 at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman.
