Oklahoma redshirt junior running back Gavin Sawchuk is expected to enter the transfer portal, as reported by Pete Nakos and George Stoia of On3 Sports.

Sawchuk rushed for 977 yards and 11 touchdowns during his time as a Sooner. In 2022, he averaged 52.5 yards per game. The following year he averaged 62 yards per game and totaled 744 yards, leading the offense. In 2024, he averaged 14.2 yards per game as he suffered with injuries.

His reported entry into the portal comes 10 days after former University of California, Berkeley running back Jaydn Ott transferred to Oklahoma.

Ott's experience could make him an early contributor to the running back room, which stalled early last season until the emergence of sophomore running back Xavier Robinson, who finished with 233 yards, averaging 33.3 per game.
