OU football dropped to No. 6 in this week's AP Poll.

The Sooners went down a spot after defeating Kent State 44-0. They are now No. 3 of nine Southeastern Conference schools in the rankings. The University of Mississippi (No. 4) and Texas A&M (No. 5) are ahead of OU, while Alabama (No. 8), Georgia (No. 10), Louisiana State University (No. 11), Tennessee (No. 12), Missouri (No. 15) and Vanderbilt (No. 20) are behind.

Next, OU faces Texas at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.
