The Southeastern Conference announced its preseason media poll Friday, with OU at No. 7.

Here is the full poll:

• No. 1 Georgia

• No. 2 Texas

• No. 3 Mississippi

• No. 4 Texas A&M

• No. 5 LSU

• No. 6 Alabama

• No. 7 OU

• No. 8 Tennessee 

• No. 9 Florida

• No. 10 Missouri

• No. 11 South Carolina

• No. 12 Auburn

• No. 13 Vanderbilt

• No. 14 Kentucky

• No. 15 Mississippi State

• No. 16 Arkansas

The Sooners were picked to finish 10th last year in the preseason poll before ending the season at No. 6 in the conference. 

Despite a lower 2026 predicted ranking than the 2025 finish, the Sooners have 10 players on the preseason all-SEC team, including:

• Redshirt senior kicker Tate Sandell on first team at placekicker and kickoff specialist

• Redshirt senior long snapper Ben Anderson on first team

• Redshirt senior wide receiver Isaiah Sategna on second team at wide receiver and return specialist

• Redshirt senior linebacker Kip Lewis on second team

• Redshirt senior punter Grayson Miller on second team

• Senior defensive back Peyton Bowen on second team

• Junior defensive back Eli Bowen on second team

• Junior defensive lineman David Stone on second team

• Sophomore offensive lineman Michael Fasusi on second team

• Redshirt junior defensive lineman Taylor Wein second team

The Sooners will begin their season against UTEP at 7 p.m. Sept. 4 at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium on SEC Network+.
