OU junior catcher Deiten Lachance turned his ankle early against Alabama but persevered and hit a home run in the sixth inning.

Lachance turned his ankle in the first inning while advancing to second base on a single from junior infielder Jaxon Willits. Trainers checked on Lachance, but he ended up staying in the game and soon came around to score on a senior outfielder Trey Gambill double.

He spent the remainder of the game limping around but still found the power to blast a a two-run homer in the sixth inning, with junior infielder Camden Johnson crossing home plate as well.

Lachance has 16 home runs in the Sooners' last 30 games after hitting zero in his first 29 outings this season.
