Wadley, a 6-foot-4 guard from Compass Prep in Chandler, Arizona, is ranked No. 43 overall and No. 7 among shooting guards in the class of 2026 by 247Sports. He is the second highest-rated recruit of Porter Moser’s tenure, trailing only former OU, and now New Orleans Pelicans, guard Jeremiah Fears, who was rated 0.9827 on the 247Sports scale.
Wadley is Oklahoma’s second commitment in the 2026 class, joining four-star forward Gage Mayfield, and he ranks as the No. 8 recruit in program history. OU’s 2026 class also marks the first time the Sooners have added two top-75 recruits with Wadley clocking in at No. 43 and Mayfield at No. 74.
His commitment gives the Sooners their sixth addition of the offseason as they continue to rebuild after the team saw nine departures. Along with Wadley, OU’s newest additions include transfer forward Khani Rooths, transfer guard Tyler Hendricks, transfer guard Pop Isaacs, transfer forward Akoldah Gak and transfer center Yaak Yaak.
