UPDATE: OU released a new version of the tailgating map on Aug. 30 to include some parts of Lindsey Street by the Cate Center and other areas of campus.
Oklahoma football fans will no longer be allowed to tailgate along Lindsey Street due to updated university policies, according to OU Athletics .

The policy now names the Northeast corner of Lindsey Street and Jenkins Avenue, and the Residential Colleges lawn as prohibited areas.
"The university committee that establishes guidance for tailgating decided that the area where tailgating is allowed should be modified," OU Press Secretary Matt Epting said. "Several factors were taken into consideration including security concerns with the new student housing facilities along Lindsey Street, the planting of sod along this newly-renovated area and the general policy of not allowing tailgating in the vicinity of student housing."
Other areas that were formerly available for tailgating are no longer accessible due to construction.
All regulations are designed to ensure "the comfort and enjoyment of game day patrons; the safety, security, and well-being of all people associated with game day activities, and the safeguarding and preservation of all public property under the management of the University," according to the athletics website.
Fans may still tailgate along Jenkins Avenue, certain areas of Asp Avenue, Brooks Street and other reserved areas.
