OU is expected to hire DeShawn Williams in an analyst role, according to Sooner Scoop's George Stoia.

Williams, a former Clemson and Denver Broncos defensive tackle, played for the Tigers in 2011-14 and finished his career tied for fourth in school history in games. He recorded 54 tackles, eight tackles for loss, three sacks, seven quarterback pressures and one pass breakup in his senior season. OU head coach Brent Venables was also Clemson's defensive coordinator in 2012-21.

Williams recorded 164 tackles in six NFL seasons and recently retired from the league after last playing in 2024.
