Oklahoma claimed three SEC weekly awards on Monday afternoon after beating Alabama on Saturday.

The three awards were given to redshirt junior Febechi Nwaiwu, who was named SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week, junior R Mason Thomas, who was named Defensive Lineman of the Week and running back Xavier Robinson, who was named Freshman of the Week.

In the 24-3 victory over Alabama, Nwaiwu helped pave the way for OU’s offense, which tallied 257 rushing yards — the most allowed by the Crimson Tide in 26 games. The Sooners also gave up just one sack and did not allow a tackle for loss until the 3:56 mark of the third quarter.

During Oklahoma’s dominant defensive effort, Thomas had three tackles, including 1.5 for loss and a sack while adding two QB hurries, with one leading to an interception. This was the first time since 2011 that Alabama did not score a touchdown during a game and it was its fewest points scored since 2004.

Robinson, alongside sophomore quarterback Jackson Arnold, led OU’s rushing attack against the Crimson Tide. The freshman rushed 18 times for 107 yards and two touchdowns — all of which were career highs. He also caught a career-high four passes for 20 yards. He averaged 5.9 yards per rush during the win.

Oklahoma has now won six SEC weekly awards this season.

The Sooners (6-5, 2-5 SEC) will play its final game of the regular season at LSU (7-4, 4-3 SEC) at 6 p.m. on Saturday in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on ESPN.
