Former OU guard Ana Llanusa has been announced as the next Norman High School girls' basketball head coach.

Llanusa replaces former OU women's basketball assistant coach Chad Thrailkill, who spent 15 seasons with ex Sooner head coach Sherri Coale, as the leader of Norman High girls basketball. Thrailkill spent only one year as the head coach of Norman, finishing with a 9-16 record before joining Bethany High School.

Llanusa, a Choctaw native, played five seasons for the Sooners from 2017-23, averaging 14 points, four rebounds and two assists per game. Before then, she was the 2017 Gatorade Player of the Year at Choctaw High School.
