Kick off the holidays during the second weekend of December with holiday festivities, performances and more in Norman and Oklahoma City.

Norman events 

Depot Small Works XV Closing Reception, 6 p.m. Friday: The closing exhibit for the Small Works XV, come out Friday to shop local for Christmas.

2nd Friday Norman Art Walk: 6 to 9 p.m. Friday: A free celebration of arts & creativity held monthly in Downtown Norman Walker Arts District. 

Norman Nook’s Treasure Trek, Friday through Sunday: Set out on the ultimate Norman scavenger hunt! Hang out in College Town USA's historic Downtown, solve fun riddles, and take on different challenges at iconic spots like the Sooner Theater and Fred Jones Art Museum. Tickets can be found online.

“A Christmas Carol”,  8 p.m. Friday, 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday, and 3 p.m. Sunday: Experience OU’s school of drama’s unique twist of “A Christmas Carol,” with an ensemble cast, at Weitzenhoffer Theatre. Tickets are $34 online with discounts for students, seniors, OU staff and military.

Depot Holiday Market, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday: The Depot will have a variety of arts market vendors and crafts with the Firehouse Art Center and a hygiene drive with Food and Shelter for Friends at The Depot.

Sky Hemenway | Saturday Morn at the Roastery, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday: Sip locally roasted coffee while hearing live acoustic sets by Sky Hemenway at Yellow Dog Coffee Company.

Firehouse Art Center Chili Bowl Cook-Off, 6 p.m. Saturday: This annual fundraiser and contest among the faculty, staff and board of the Firehouse Art Center is entering its third year. Tickets start at $25 online.

Firehouse Art Center Holiday Gift Gallery, 5:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday: Holiday Gift Gallery showcases over 60 artists annually. It is open to Oklahoma artists working with different media, including painting, illustration, ceramics, jewelry, wood, fiber and more at Firehouse Art Center.

Crimson Chords Winter Concert, 6:45 p.m. Saturday: OU’s Student led a cappella group will be performing for the last time this year at Meacham Auditorium. 

Oklahoma City events

ArtNow 2025: Materials and Boundaries, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday through Sunday: Explore works by over 25 Oklahoma artists at the Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center.

Jakian Parks: The Black Land, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday through Sunday: Explore artist Jakian Parks’ latest exhibition at Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center. The exhibit explores the history and cultural legacy of Black equestrian life. The museum is free to attend.

Wheeler Wonderland Pop-up Shops, 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday: For the first time, shop unique gifts in a holiday atmosphere from local pop-up vendors for one weekend only at Wheeler Ferris Wheel

Devon Ice Rink, 3 to 11 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m to 11 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday: The Devon Ice Rink is back for its 14th season at the Myriad Botanical Gardens. Guests can bring their own skates or rent them. Tickets start at $15 in person. 

Star Party, 6 to 10 p.m. Friday: Observe Saturn, Jupiter and the Geminid Meteor Shower with the Love’s Planetarium team, at the Oklahoma Science Museum, admission is free. 

A Ceremony of Carols, noon to 7 p.m. Friday: Part of Saint Paul’s Cathedral Advent 2025 Music Series, listen to music by Benjamin Britten and John Rutter with harpist Emily Duncan at Saint Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral

Singo Musical Bingo: Christmas Edition, 8 to 10 p.m. Friday: Enjoy a night of musical Christmas themed bingo at Sailor and The Dock. Cards are $3 for one or three for $5.

Hot in Herre: 2000s Xmas Party, 9 p.m. Friday: Dance to hits from the 2000s and holiday music from the same decade at Beer City Music Hall. Tickets start at $24.70 online.

Breakfast with Santa, 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday: Santa is coming to town for a breakfast buffet at the OKC Zoo. Kids can write a letter to Santa and deliver it to him in person. Tickets are available online

Merry Market, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday: A festive shopping experience with local vendors, festive photo-ops and seasonal decor at OKC Farmers Public Market.

Sooners vs. Oklahoma State Cowboys men’s basketball, noon Saturday: Watch the Sooners take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys at the Paycom Center. Tickets can be found online starting at $19.

Holiday Handcrafts at Third Space Studio, noon to 5 p.m. Saturday: Create your own free festive ornaments and holiday decor at Sailor & The Dock. Parking is free with validation.

Sunday Jazz Brunch, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday: Listen to live jazz at Tellers while enjoying lemon buttermilk pancakes and other brunch favorites.

Singo Sunday Brunch, noon to 2 p.m. Sunday: Stop by Bar Cicchetti for its weekly music trivia brunch.

Pictures with Santa, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday: Bring the family for a free picture with Santa featuring live music by Liam Bernhardt and festive drinks from Abe’s at Third Space Studio
