The Union Programming Board will attempt to set a world record this evening for the most simultaneous games of tunnel ball.
The games will begin at 7 p.m. on Aug. 26 in the Molly Shi Boren Ballroom in the Oklahoma Memorial Union.
The UPB will be using an online world record officiating service known as RecordSetter.
UPB director of programming Todd Riddle said tunnel ball is a game where 15 people line up in single file with the person in front holding a red kickball.
The first person passes the ball under his or her legs and the next person passes it over his or her head. This continues until the end of the line.
Once the person at the back receives the ball, he or she runs to the front and restarts the process. The game continues until every person has a turn at the front of the line.
Riddle said they need at least 10 games happening simultaneously to set the world record.
All OU students are welcome to participate as long as they bring their OU student ID. The first 200 people to arrive will receive a free t-shirt.
