Former Buzzfeed personality Ryan Bergara will speak on April 4 at an event held by the Campus Activities Council Speakers Bureau.
The CAC Speakers Bureau is allowing anyone to submit possible questions for the moderated Q&A with Bergara. More information about the event can be found on the CAC Speakers Bureau’s Instagram page.
Bergara is an actor, producer and paranormal investigator. He is most well known for his career at Buzzfeed from 2014-19.
Bergara first gained fame after creating and starring in “Buzzfeed Unsolved” alongside co-host Shane Madej. The series became one of Buzzfeed’s most successful shows and garnered over a billion views. The show was split into two categories “Unsolved: True Crime” and “Unsolved: Supernatural.” “Buzzfeed Unsolved” ran for eight seasons and ended in 2021.
Bergara co-founded Watcher Entertainment, a digital production company, in 2019 with Madej and ex-Buzzfeed employee Steven Lim. Bergara created “Mystery Files” and “Ghost Files,” succeeding "Buzzfeed Unsolved” through Watcher Entertainment.
In addition to “Mystery Files” and “Ghost Files,” Bergara co-hosts other shows like “Puppet History” where puppets are used in a comedy game show about important people and events from history. Bergara also hosts “Are You Scared?” a horror series where he reads scary stories to his co-host Madej.
Last year, CAC hosted former Nickelodeon star Josh Peck as a Q&A speaker. Other speakers from previous years include internet personality Noel Miller in 2022 and the first Black "Bachelorette" Rachel Lindsay in 2021.
“A Night with Ryan Bergara” will be held at 8 p.m. on April 4 at the Reynolds Performing Arts Center in Holmberg Hall. Doors will open at 7 p.m.
