Twenty-six December graduates attained a perfect 4.0 grade-point average during their time as students at OU. Eighteen of those students are originally from Oklahoma.

Coulson Gannaway from Mustang, majoring in finance.
Brandon Michaud from Norman, majoring in computer science.
Olivia Robertson from Norman, majoring in professional writing.
Elizabeth Thurston from Norman, majoring in mechanical engineering.
Maria Doan from Oklahoma City, majoring in computer science.
Destiny Glaude Robinson from Oklahoma City, majoring in health and exercise science.
Eric Truong from Oklahoma City, majoring in computer science.
Norma Bieberdorf from Pryor, majoring in creative media production.

Avery Wurzberger from Allen, Texas, majoring in communication.
Wurzberger wrote in an email to OU Daily about the challenges of maintaining a perfect grade-point average.
“It was definitely challenging at times to put in 110% effort in the classroom, but thankfully I had an outstanding support system of professors, family members and friends that helped me remain focused and driven throughout my time as an undergrad,” Wurzberger wrote.
The students who earned an overall GPA of 4.0 were honored at a ceremony on Dec. 5, where OU President Joseph Harroz Jr. presented the students with a bronze medallion on a crimson ribbon, which may be worn during graduation ceremonies.
Wurzberger wrote the ceremony was held in the Oklahoma Memorial Union, and each student was recognized individually by former Student Government Association President Christopher Firch and Harroz.
“It was a wonderful way to celebrate our achievement, and I feel very lucky to attend a university that chooses to celebrate its student's success in the classroom," Wurzberger wrote.
