A new housing development for one of the existing sorority houses will be considered at the pre-planning discussion on Oct. 26.
The Kappa Alpha Theta sorority filed a proposal with the city of Norman to develop 1.2 acres of land as an addition to its house located at the northeast corner of Parsons Street and 845 Chautauqua Ave.
The land would extend the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority house and add parking. The Norman Planning Commission and city council will discuss the land development within the next six months.
The pre-development meeting is designed for people and neighboring property owners to meet informally to discuss the plan and voice concerns before the public hearing process.
The discussion will be from 5:30-6:00 p.m. in conference room B at the Norman Development Center located on 225 N. Webster Ave.
If there are any questions about the proposal, contact Gunner Joyce of Rieger Law Group at 405-310-5274 during business hours.
