Residents in North Norman received letters on Wednesday notifying them of a pre-development meeting for Norman North Village, a mixed-use development at the southwest corner of West Indian Hills Road and Interstate 35.
The development would contain just over 130 acres and include commercial, office, retail and residential uses. The development would be introduced to the planning commission and Norman City Council for consideration in the next six months, according to an application for a pre-development meeting.
Apex Properties LLC is the applicant and Rieger Sadler Joyce LLC is the representative, according to the application.
According to the Oklahoma Secretary of State website, Apex Properties was formed in 1993. In the proposed site map for the development, Apex Properties’ address is listed as 2021 S. Santa Fe Ave. in Moore.
Gunner B. Joyce, an attorney with Rieger Sadler Joyce, wrote to the city of Norman requesting the pre-development meeting. He said Apex Properties intends to rezone the property to a planned unit development.
“We respectfully request that you set a Pre-Development neighborhood meeting for this Application,” the letter reads. “Please let me know if you have any questions. We thank you for your consideration.”
Residents with property within 350 feet of the planned development area received a letter.
The letter invites residents to a pre-development discussion planned for 6 p.m. Feb. 27 at in Conference Room A of the Norman Development Center.
Rieger Sadler Joyce did not respond to OU Daily’s request for comment by the time of publication.
