2:55 p.m. Feb. 19
After initial inquiries were sent to OU marketing and communications on Saturday night, OU Daily received a response from OU on Monday:
"On Saturday, Law enforcement received a report of a possible emergency near Evans Hall. OUPD responded and found no threat in the area. Officers deemed the area safe and issued an all clear."
According to OUPD logs Monday, the incident on Saturday was labeled as a "disturbance."
8:17 p.m.
OU Daily has reached out to the university for comment but has not heard back. This alert is the second in two days. Friday’s alert ended in a false alarm.
7:40 p.m.
OUPD issued an all clear at 7:39 p.m.
7:25 p.m.
OU issued an alert Saturday night reporting a law enforcement emergency near Evans Hall. The alert was first sent around 7:21 p.m. Saturday.
"Reported Law Enforcement emergency on Norman campus in area of EVANS HALL. Avoid Area," the alert read.
