Apple Tree Chocolate
Chocolate is a common dessert, which is why couple Scotty and Ashley Jackson have to go the extra length to differentiate their store, Apple Tree Chocolate, by adding a homemade touch to their desserts.

Apple Tree Chocolate is new to Campus Corner with products ranging from chocolates, apples and bonbons, to milkshakes, muffins, hot chocolate, fudge and much more.

'“A lot of love goes into our product," Scotty said. "Everything we make, we make from scratch. We don't have anything we ship in frozen."

To make sure customers always end up with best product, cutting corners is never an option and that attention to detail is what their customers notice.

"When we were making this stuff we knew it was good but we didn't know how widely accepted it was going to be," Scotty said. "We have a fun culture and really great product which brings value to it."

"They mix it up by creating new and different assortments," said Kylie Chancellor, a customer.

The Jacksons wanted to build a place in Norman that they would want to go just to get a good dessert. It was something they could never find. They knew Campus Corner was the perfect location, so they hardly looked anywhere else when setting up their store.

Apple Tree Chocolate was voted best chocolate in Norman at Firehouse Art Center's 33rd annual Chocolate Festival. People who want the best go to Apple Tree Chocolate.

"The truffles and chocolate are fantastic," said customer Amanda Kindrick. "Take a girl there and you'll both be happy."

Even the employees know what they create is something spectacular.

"The cookie and cream fudge is my favorite," said Quinton Castleberry, Apple Tree employee. "I make a pretty mean fudge."

One of the best sellers there is the Thunder Apple, which is blue and orange after the famous basketball team .

"People go nuts over the Thunder Apple," said Castleberry. "I guess it is because of the home pride they have."

With such a wide array of options, deciding on a dessert from Apple Tree may not be an easy task for most. Apple Tree offers numerous decisions that leave their customers wanting to walk out with everything in the store.

"I like their candy apples," said customer Amanda Knaup. "And the bonbons are good too."

Apple Tree draws their customers in with a fun environment and delicious treats that make them keep coming back for more.

"We create a fun culture for the employees and customers so it is a really great experience," said Jackson.

Only open since December, Jackson hopes Apple Tree continues to grow and that all of Norman will someday enjoy his creations.

"When we went into this we weren't trying to make a business that was just profitable, but something that would change the paradigm of how people thought of Campus Corner," said Jackson. "I'm hoping students and Normanites will come here and enjoy it."
