Equity Brewing Company will be hosting a Galentine’s Day Drag Brunch on Sunday, in collaboration with Norman Pride.
Norman Pride is a nonprofit organization that supports the 2SLGBTQ+ community. Throughout the year, they host events to promote community engagement.
Equity Brewing, the first all-women-owned craft brewery in Oklahoma, opened in 2021. Since then, mother-daughter owners Suzette and Hannah Grillot have been partnering with different organizations to serve the community.
“We love the relationship we have built with (Equity Brewing),” Norman Pride board member Cort Fisher wrote OU Daily in an email. “Their values strongly align with Norman Pride’s as they promote positive social change while also providing delicious products.”
The drag brunch menu will include sweet potato hash, chicken fried chicken and grits. Guests 21 and older can order Equity’s selection of in-house beer and seltzers.

“This was an event that their team and our board thought would be a great way to reach our community during this season of love,” Fisher wrote.
Olivia Lycan, pastry chef and resident drag entertainer, will be hosting the show. Local and newly crowned 2024 Pride Royalty Yakisoba Zay Michaels will be performing for their first official event with Norman Pride. Busty Springfield and Mariah Paige will also be performing.
“We are lucky to have these wonderful drag performers join us, entertain the members of the Norman community, and share the art form that is drag,” wrote Fisher.
Shows are at 9:45 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. on Sunday at Equity Brewing Company. Tickets can be purchased online, and there is no age requirement.
