After over two years of construction, brunch and coffee shop Press & Plow opened the drive-thru at its West Lindsey Street location Sunday.

The Press & Plow at 800 W. Lindsey St. marks the franchise’s third location. Press & Plow was first opened in Norman in 2018 at 2596 W. Tecumseh Road. A second location in Edmond opened in June at 15398 Lleytons Court.

The Lindsey Press & Plow opened its drive-thru at 6 a.m. Sunday. According to a Facebook post from The McKinney Partnership Architects, the shop’s construction began in June 2022.

Press & Plow has not announced an opening date for dine-in service but said “restaurant dining is to follow soon” in a Instagram post Sunday.

According to Press & Plow managing partner Callan Coyle, the business’ decision to expand in Norman was to meet growing demand.

“We've had success with our original location, and it's hard to get a table there,” Coyle said. “It was a confined space, so we almost outgrew that size, and we wanted to provide the community or people with a bigger format, a bigger kitchen, allowing us to do more.”

For Coyle, Lindsey Street is the perfect location for Press & Plow due to its close proximity to campus and foot traffic.

“We really like the location we're in,” Coyle said. “We have some good neighbors and just a busy street with a lot of good people.”

Coyle became a managing partner of the company about a year and a half ago, drawn to Press & Plow’s aim to supply the community with quality goods.

“We really strive to provide the community with the most quality goods, so just utilizing the best coffee, the best ingredients and producing a really enjoyable experience for our guests,” Coyle said.

Until restaurant dining opens, the Lindsey Press & Plow will only serve food from its drive-thru specific menu. Though the Norman drive-thru menu is not yet available online, Coyle said it consists of drive-thru exclusive tacos, breakfast sandwiches and more.

In addition to brunch and coffee, Press & Plow will also serve cocktails when restaurant dining opens. Its main menu will feature drinks like champagne, mimosas, Bloody Marys and Irish coffee.

Coyle said he hopes the Lindsey location brings new customers to Press & Plow, fulfilling the goal of supplying the community with quality coffee and brunch.

“Our goal for this newest location is to provide the campus community and this area of Norman with a great option for coffee and elevated brunch food, whether that be through the drive-thru or dining in, and giving people an alternative to get better lattes, better quality breakfast and lunch,” Coyle said.
