The 2015-16 school year was filled with dramatic album drops and great music. Here is a list put together by The Daily of the top 10 albums over the last two semesters.

10. Justin Bieber — "Purpose"
2015 and 2016 would not be the same without Bieber's release of "Purpose." The album brought hits like "What Do You Mean?," "Sorry" and "Love Yourself." Bieber's reinvention wasn't a shock, but how successful it has been was.

9. One Direction — "Made in the A.M."
One Direction's "Made in the A.M." is the band's first studio album since it lost member Zayn Malik, who left to start a solo career. However, the band proved it was still a strong pop group with hits like "Perfect" and "Drag Me Down."

8. Selena Gomez — "Revival"
Selena Gomez's latest album, "Revival," brought a more mature sound and cemented her as more than just a Disney star, thanks to songs like "Good for You" and "Hands to Myself."

7. Fetty Wap — "Fetty Wap"
Fetty Wap's self-titled album included hits like "Trap Queen" and "679," which will become synonymous with club and party culture.

6. Adele — "25"
Adele's third album, "25," shattered sales records and gave us hits like "Hello" to scream/cry to in the car. The album did not live up to the hype for many fans, but it is still considered a great album of 2015.

5. Kendrick Lamar — "Untitled Unmastered"
Kendrick Lamar dropped "Untitled Unmastered" unexpectedly. The album features tracks that are all raw. While this gave it a very intimate feel, there were no true hits that came from it. However, it cemented Kendrick as one of the best rappers of all time.
4. Drake — "Views"
Drake's "Views" broke the internet. Fans all over the world raved about its great vocals and sleek production. It may be Drake's best album to date.
3. Halsey — "Badlands"
"Badlands" featured Halsey's soulful voice and lyrics that encompassed the millennial mindset, and the hit song "New Americana" opened the doors for her to become an electro-pop sensation.

2. Kanye West — "The Life of Pablo"
"Swish?" "Waves?" No, the second best album of this year goes to "The Life of Pablo." Kanye kept fans and the world at the edge of their seats in anticipation for the event that was the drop of "The Life of Pablo." Once it was official, it was clear that this album would keep Kanye relevant for years to come.

1. Beyonce — "Lemonade"
Queen B will always be number one, especially after releasing this socially and politically conscious album. Additionally, "Lemonade" was deeply personal and gave an inside look at Beyonce's life while still commenting on issues like racism, sexism and police brutality.
