Jackson Arnold will reportedly enter the transfer portal, per ESPN's Max Olson.

Arnold is a former five-star and top recruit in Oklahoma's 2023 class from Denton Guyer High School. The sophomore totaled 1,865 yards and 15 touchdowns this season. He was benched for Michael Hawkins Jr. after a slow start to the year.

Arnold sat behind Dillon Gabriel in 2023 before taking over as the Sooners' starter in 2024. He threw for just 252 yards and no touchdowns in his last three games combined. Arnold threw three interceptions and fumbled nine times this season.

The decision comes after Oklahoma announced Washington State offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Ben Arbuckle as its new offensive coordinator on Monday. Washington State quarterback John Mateer finished the 2024 season with 3,139 passing yards, 29 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
