Freshman defensive end Jalen Redmond will miss the rest of the season after having a recurrence of his blood clot issue, coach Lincoln Riley said after the Sooners' game Saturday.

Redmond was not suited up and did not play against Oklahoma State. He missed the first half of the season due to a blood clot, but was cleared to play in October.

He made appearances in the Sooners' games against TCU and Kansas State, recording six total tackles between the two games.

Riley also announced redshirt senior offensive lineman Alex Dalton tore his ACL during practice ahead of Bedlam and will miss the rest of the season.
