Oklahoma women's volleyball: Five Sooners to try out for US national team

Five Sooners will head to Colorado Springs, Colorado, to try out for the U.S. Women's National Team, USA volleyball announced Thursday afternoon.

Seniors Alyssa Enneking and Audrey Alford, as well as sophomores Sarah Maras, Kylee McLaughlin, and Sarah Sanders will be the five Sooners to try out. 

Enneking, a 5-foot-11 hitter, was the most productive player for the Sooners this past season leading the team in kills with 4.2 per game to go along with 2.94 digs per game while also earning a spot on the All Big-12 First Team. Alford, a 5-foot-9 setter, averaged 9.38 assists and 2.01 digs per set. 

Incoming sophomore Kylee McLaughlin is a transfer from Oregon State, winning Pac-12 Freshman of the Year this past season. Maras and Sanders came off the bench during the Sooners season but will see their roles expand during the upcoming season.
