Oklahoma (50-7) beat Alabama (40-23) 13-2 in game two of the Norman Super Regional to advance to the 2025 Women’s College World Series.
The Sooners dominated the Crimson Tide in a five-inning run-rule victory Saturday at Love’s Field to punch their ticket to Oklahoma City for the ninth straight season and 18th time in program history.
Oklahoma’s offense could not be stopped, finishing the game with 13 runs on 14 hits. OU’s offensive leaders on the day were freshman shortstop Gabbie Garcia (2-4, 4 RBI, 2 HR) and sophomore utility player Ella Parker (3-4, 3 RBI, 1 HR).
The Sooners struck first in the second inning with an RBI single from junior outfielder Abigale Dayton, giving OU an early 1-0 lead. Oklahoma was 35-2 when scoring first heading into Saturday’s game, that record now stands at 36-2.
The floodgates opened in the third with an eight-hit, eight-run inning to help OU jump to a 9-0 lead.
The rally started with a two-run home run from Garcia, marking her 19th homer on the season.

“Honestly, the only thing going through my mind was just to pass the bat,” Garcia said after the game. “We’re all here just to play for each other.”
After a squeeze bunt from junior second baseman Ailana Agbayani that scored a runner, a two-run single and two-run double from Dayton and Parker kept the Sooners’ rally rolling.
In game one of the Super Regional, OU hit 1-6 with runners in scoring position. Game two highlighted the Sooners’ power and timely hitting that they’ve displayed all season.
Junior left-handed pitcher Kierston Deal (10-2) drew the start and held the Crimson Tide’s offense in check for the majority of the game. However, Alabama fought back with two solo home runs in the third and fourth innings.
After two unanswered Alabama runs, OU responded in the fifth inning with three more home runs. Parker led off with a solo shot to right field, followed by back-to-back jacks from Garcia, her second on the day, and redshirt freshman third baseman Nelly McEnroe-Marinas.

“Like Gabbie said, I was just thinking to pass the bat, but also stay loose,” Parker said. “I didn’t want to get any moment too big, and just take it pitch-by-pitch.”
The rally in the top of the fifth extended OU’s lead to 13-2, surpassing the eight-run lead needed to induce a run rule.
Deal finished the day with four Ks, giving up only two runs on three hits in her 10th win of the season.
“Just trusting the process and trusting what me and coach Rocha have been working on, and just trusting this team honestly,” Deal said. “When you have hitters putting up double-digit runs, you literally just go out there and just throw through the zone and trust your pitches.”
With thoughts of a Sam Landry appearance, it would be freshman left-handed pitcher Audrey Lowry (6-0), making her Super Regional debut to replace Deal and finish the game in the fifth inning.
Needing just three outs to complete the run rule, Lowry and OU's defense sat down the first two Alabama hitters. After hits from the next two batters, the Sooners didn’t flinch, forcing a ground out to McEnroe-Marinas to end the game.

Through five postseason games, OU has outscored its opponents 47-5, en route to yet another Women’s College World Series berth. The Sooners have got hot at just the right time and will look to build on that momentum in Oklahoma City.
Next, the Sooners will compete in the 2025 Women’s College World Series, starting May 29-June 6 at Devon Park in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
