Senior Pippi Lotta Enok won the pentathlon with 4,593 points at the 2025 SEC Indoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday, making her Oklahoma's first SEC champion in any sport.  

Enok, an Estonian athlete, also claimed the national record for her native country, No. 5 all time in NCAA history, fourth in the world in 2025, R.A. ‘Murray’ Fasken ‘38 Indoor Track facility record and the program record. This is Enok's second conference championship in the pentathlon after she won the event at the 2023 Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Championships. She also holds the outdoor program record for the heptathlon (6,165 points), which she set in her 2023 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships win.

The pentathlon includes five events: 60-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump and the 800-meter race. After the first three events, Enok stood at second place in the standings with 2,721 points, behind her fellow Sooner, senior Angel Richmore (2,752 points).

In long jump, Enok delivered with a 6.40-meter jump (975 points), leaping Richmore (5.74 meters, 771 points) on the overall standings. However, Texas A&M freshman Sofia Yakushina had a 6.42-meter jump. This brought Enok to first in the overall standings (3,696 points) and Yakushina to second (3,643 points), going into the last event.

Through the first lap of the 800, Enok ran a 68.43-second 400 with Yakushina .028 seconds ahead in first place. Yakushina closed in a 65.44-second 400, negative splitting and securing the win for the event with a 2:13.59 over Enok's 2:14.72. Despite losing the 800 to Yakushina's surge, Enok still came away with the overall victory.

The 2025 SEC Indoor Track and Field Championships began on Thursday in College Station, Texas and lasts through Saturday.
