Aaliyah Chavez announced her commitment to the Oklahoma women’s basketball team on Tuesday.

The five-star point guard is ESPNW’s No. 1 recruit in the class of 2025. Chavez is a senior at Monterey High School in Lubbock, Texas, averaging 34.5 points per game.

The Gatorade Player of the Year chose OU over Texas, Texas Tech, South Carolina, LSU and UCLA. She will join four-star guard Keziah Lofton and four-star forward Brooklyn Stewart in the Sooners' 2025 recruitment class.
