Baker Mayfield, Caleb Williams and Jalen Hurts lost their NFL matchups last week.
Here is how each of the three former OU quarterbacks played:
Baker Mayfield
Mayfield's Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-6) fell to the New Orleans Saints (3-10) 24-20 at home.
Mayfield threw for only 122 yards and a touchdown, along with an interception. This game marked another underwhelming performance for Mayfield, who hasn’t recorded at least 200 passing yards since a win over the New England Patriots on Nov. 9. After starting the season with just one interception in six games, he has now thrown four in his last six.
Tampa led 10-7 at halftime before the Saints outscored the Buccaneers 17-10 in the second half. The Buccaneers are currently tied for the top of their division with the Carolina Panthers.
Next, the Buccaneers will face the Atlanta Falcons (4-9) at 7:15 p.m. Thursday at Raymond James Stadium on Prime Video.
Caleb Williams
The Chicago Bears (9-4) and Williams suffered a 28-21 loss to the Green Bay Packers (9-3-1).
Williams threw 35 passes, completing 19 of them for 186 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. On foot, Williams recorded four carries for 15 rushing yards.
The Bears had won five consecutive games before this matchup — with Williams accounting for 1,086 passing yards and 176 rushing yards — but ultimately lost the streak. Williams' season totals still improved to 2,908 passing yards, 19 touchdowns, 321 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns.
Next, the Bears will host the Cleveland Browns (3-10) at noon Sunday at Soldier Field on FOX.
Jalen Hurts
Hurts had a lackluster performance in the Eagles' (8-5) 22-19 overtime loss to the Los Angeles Chargers (9-4).
Hurts completed 21 passes on 40 attempts for 240 yards, zero touchdowns and four interceptions, along with a season-low 31.2 rating. Hurts didn’t accumulate much on the ground either, with only four carries, eight rushing yards and a fumble. His performance marked his most turnovers in a game in his career, with the final one resulting in former OU safety Tony Jefferson coming down with the ball.
Hurts' season totals still increased to 2,754 passing yards, 19 passing touchdowns, 337 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns.
Next, Hurts and the Eagles will look to bounce back against the Las Vegas Raiders (2-11) at noon Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field on Fox.
