Lincoln Riley wants people to know the difference between preseason expectations and regular season results.
With the Sooners getting their championship rings from last season's second straight Big 12 title, Riley, the team's offensive coordinator, took to Twitter to show off his new bling and remind everyone that the Sooners are still the defending champs.

Last season the Sooners stumbled out of the gate, losing two of their first three games, but closed the season strong with nine straight wins, punctuated by a 38-20 Big 12 title-clinching Bedlam victory over Oklahoma State. The Sooners then defeated Auburn in the 2017 Sugar Bowl 35-19.
The conference title marked Oklahoma's second straight and record tenth overall.

When Oklahoma takes the field for its annual spring game Saturday at 1 p.m., it won't be without a few questions heading into the 2017-18 season.
Oklahoma is looking to replace its all-time leader in rushing yards in Samaje Perine, a Biletnikoff winner in wide receiver Dede Westbrook and longtime starters on defense like Jordan Evans and Ahmad Thomas.
Oklahoma officially kicks off its new season at home against Texas El-Paso Sept. 2.
