Dr. Steven Shin was on the sideline before OU's game against Missouri.

Shin performed a hand surgery on redshirt junior quarterback John Mateer on Sept. 24 after Mateer injured it against Auburn on Sept. 20. Mateer returned to action 17 days later in a 23-6 loss to Texas, and he has averaged 174 passing yards since the injury as opposed to 304 per game through the first four contests.

OU will kick off against Missouri at 11 a.m. at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium on ABC.
