Oklahoma football: Former OU defensive end Jamarkus McFarland hired as graduate assistant

Oklahoma has hired former OU defensive end Jamarkus McFarland as a graduate assistant, according to tweets from members of OU's coaching staff.

McFarland was a defensive end for the Sooners from 2009-12.

He was named to the All-Big 12 freshman team as a first-year player.

McFarland received an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention after collecting a career-high 28 tackles and six tackles for loss.
