Robert Franklin wins Republican runoff for state superintendent

Robert Franklin won the Republican nomination for state superintendent over James Taylor, according to unofficial results from the Associated Press.

As of 8:26 p.m., with 70% of votes counted, Franklin earned 54.6% of votes, or 137,202, according to unofficial results from the Associated Press. Taylor earned 45.4%, or 114,051 votes.
