Norman North (4-1) defeated Broken Arrow (1-4) 28-14 on the road Friday evening, earning its first win in 6A-I District 1 play.

The Timberwolves are now tied for third in their district with the Tigers. Norman North returns home to face Jenks (3-2) next Thursday at 7 p.m. The Timberwolves defeated the Trojans 31-21 on the road last season.

  • Junior running back Will Lundquist scored two touchdowns, bringing him to three this season. They were his first touchdowns since Norman North’s season-opening 21-0 win against Norman High on Aug. 31.

  • Junior quarterback Owen Eshelman threw his only touchdown pass in the first quarter to senior wide receiver Zain Prater, his second receiving touchdown of the season.

  • Senior defensive back Camden Pratcher recorded two interceptions, both in the fourth quarter. It’s the second time he’s made two interceptions in a game, doing so in Norman North’s 57-28 win against Yukon on Sept. 15.

  • Senior running back Duante Moses scored his first touchdown of the season on a three-yard rush in the third quarter.

Lundquist rushed for a 35-yard touchdown down the right sideline to give the Timberwolves a two-score lead.
