Injury Updates

Freshman safety Peyton Bowen was wearing a boot after OU's win against UCF. OU head coach Brent Venables said the former five-star was "feeling better" ahead of the Sooners' matchup against KU. Bowen was seen practicing in pre-game warmups, an indication that he is set to play.Β

Venables didn’t provide clarity on redshirt senior offensive lineman McKade Mettauer, who played several snaps on special teams after Venables said he’d miss multiple weeks. Mettauer was a full participant in pre-game warmups.Β

He also didn’t comment on senior defensive lineman Reggie Grimes’ availability. Grimes was seen in sweatpants on the sideline against UCF and didn’t play against Texas. Grimes was not seen during OU's pre-game warmups.

Redshirt senior running back Marcus Major was not seen during OU's warmups.Β

Senior tight end Austin Stogner went down with an injury with 6:17 remaining in the first half. He was able to get up under his own power.Β

Junior linebacker Danny Stutsman went down with an ankle injury with 53 seconds remaining in the first half. He jogged off the field and into the locker room at halftime.Β
