A pre-development meeting will occur on Oct. 26 to discuss the possibility of rezoning a parcel of land near the northeast corner of Indian Hills Road and 48th Avenue Northwest.

Shaz Investment Group, LLC filed a proposal with the city of Norman to rezone around 25.12 acres to commercial zoning and another 14.82 acres for apartment purposes. The commercial and apartment space area would be called Whispering Trails.

The pre-development meeting allows residents and neighboring property owners to meet informally to discuss proposals and share their concerns before the public hearing process.

The discussion is from 6-6:30 p.m., in conference room B in the Norman Development Center at 225 N. Webster Ave.

For questions about the proposal, contact Gunner Joyce of Rieger Law Group at 405-310-5274 during business hours.
