As severe weather occurred across Oklahoma early Sunday morning, Norman experienced heavy thunderstorms that caused power outages and damages across the city. 

According to Oklahoma Gas and Electric’s Outage Map, OG&E are responding to three significant power outage patches around the intersection of Imhoff and Berry roads, down Classen Boulevard and North Main Street with smaller outages across the city. 

As of 10:33 a.m., OG&E is responding to over 3,000 outages in the city and surrounding areas. 

Throughout the morning, Norman community members reported flooding, fallen tree limbs and wind damage across the city.

Extensive damage was reported off Sooner Road and 89th Street in Oklahoma City.

With potential roadway flooding, Norman Police Department advises residents to never drive into flood waters or around road closure barriers.

National Weather Service survey teams are actively investigating the storm damage. More severe weather is expected Sunday afternoon.
