English comedian Russell Brand, reality TV star Savannah Chrisley and Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt will visit OU’s campus as part of Turning Point USA’s “The Turning Point Tour.”
Brand, Chrisley and Stitt will speak at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 16 in the McCasland Field House, according to a Wednesday Instagram post.
Brand, an English actor and comedian known for “Despicable Me” and “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” in recent years has gained millions of followers on YouTube, posting videos about conspiracy theories.
Brand is facing one allegation of rape, one of indecent assault, one of oral rape and two further counts of sexual assault in England, according to the BBC. The alleged incidents involved four women and are said to have taken place in central London and Bournemouth between 1999 and 2005.
Brand pleaded not guilty to the charges in May and is set to stand trial in June 2026.
Chrisley is a reality TV star and influencer known for the USA Network shows “Chrisley Knows Best” and “Growing Up Chrisley.”
In May, President Donald Trump pardoned Julie and Todd Chrisley, Savannah Chrisley’s parents, who were serving federal prison sentences after being convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion in 2022.
Stitt posted a photo of himself and Charlie Kirk on the social platform X following the Sept. 10 assassination of the Turning Point USA founder.
“Charlie was a great American. The world will be a darker place without him here,” Stitt wrote. “I am praying for his wife and children and all those who knew him and looked up to him.”
Stitt later appeared on Fox News comparing Kirk’s death to that of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and making calls for bipartisanship, according to an article by The Oklahoman.
“The Turning Point Tour” was announced on Sept. 23 to commemorate Kirk and continue his “The American Comeback Tour,” during which, at an appearance at Utah Valley University, he was fatally shot.
Popular conservative figures Tucker Carlson and Megyn Kelly are among a number of speakers for the tour, which will visit 11 universities from late September to November.
