OU Foundation Vice President and Chief Advancement Officer Amy Noah will retire this summer, the university announced in a mass email Tuesday.

According to the email, Noah stepped into the role in 2021, bringing with her “more than two decades of fundraising leadership experience.” Before arriving in Norman, she spent 10 years at Purdue University in Indiana, serving as vice president for development at the Purdue Research Foundation.

During her time at OU, Noah oversaw the transfer of the university’s fundraising operations to the OU Foundation in 2021. According to OU President Joseph Harroz Jr., Noah helped launch the university’s “Lead On” strategic plan.

“Amy has been a trusted partner to the OU Family and a powerful advocate for our university’s future,” Harroz wrote. “I am grateful for her leadership and the momentum she has helped create.”

Noah will officially retire in June, but Harroz wrote she is expected to continue her work with the university in a consulting capacity.

“While Amy will certainly be missed, she has positioned us exceptionally well for what comes next,” Harroz wrote.

Harroz wrote that Jay Kahn, senior assistant vice president of advancement and campaigns for the OU Foundation, will fill Noah’s position following her retirement.
