OU announced adjustments to final exam schedules Monday due to the Dec. 19 College Football Playoff game and confirmed the university will hold fall commencement as planned.
According to a Monday email by Senior Vice President and Provost Andre-Denis Wright, final exams originally scheduled for Friday next week have been rescheduled:
• Exams scheduled for 8 a.m. Friday will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 18
• Exams scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15
• Exams scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16
• Exams scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Friday will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17
In-person classes and campus operations are canceled for Friday, Dec. 19, according to the email. According to a second mass email sent Monday, all campus buildings not related to gameday operations will be closed, except for Bizzell Memorial Library, Oklahoma Memorial Union and campus dining locations.
Wright wrote that online programs will not be affected as they end the week before the game. Commencement ceremonies will also remain the same as scheduled, taking place on Saturday, Dec. 20, at the Lloyd Noble Center.
Campus Area Rapid Transit, or CART, will run its gameday shuttle route Friday, according to the second email. Regular routes and shuttles will not be in service.
The Sooners’ game against Alabama will be held at 7 p.m. Dec. 19 at the Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. This will be the first time in the program’s history that OU has hosted a playoff game.
