OU’s Phi Gamma Delta chapter, commonly known as FIJI, has been temporarily suspended due to reports of hazing violations.

The OU Office of Student Conduct and international Phi Gamma Delta headquarters suspended operation due to misconduct and hazing allegations from September, according to Kesha Keith, director of strategic initiatives.

“The OU Office of Student Conduct and the international headquarters of Phi Gamma Delta have temporarily suspended operations of the OU FIJI chapter due to misconduct and hazing allegations from September 2024," Keith wrote.

The chapter currently has a clean five-year record and is in good standing, according to the OU Interfraternity Council.

The last house to be temporarily suspended due to hazing was Delta Upsilon in 2018, leading to sanctions against the fraternity in February of that year.

FIJI is currently undergoing the university’s conduct process.
