OU Information Technology reported network issues on Monday morning affecting several university sites and applications.

As of 11:40 a.m., the OU IT alerts page has eight sites marked as “affected”:

• Canvas

• MyMedia

• Qualtrics

• Top Hat

• Zoom

• Laserfiche

• eFax (XMedius & RightFax)

• OU IT Service 

An OU IT employee told OU Daily Monday morning that there’s no timeline for when services will be fully restored but encouraged users to check updates on OU IT’s alert website. 

OU Canvas sent out a mass email at 9:52 a.m. Monday confirming that the current issues are related to a nationwide issue and is working to fix the problem as soon as possible. 

“Canvas is experiencing issues due to an ongoing AWS (Amazon Web Services) incident,” the email reads. “The site may be slow to load during this time.”
