OU announced it broke its fundraising record with $352 million in gifts during the 2025 fiscal year, exceeding its previous record by $18 million.

In a Monday press release, OU announced it received over 31,000 donations, with 72 gifts exceeding $1 million. OU Athletics received $113 million, surpassing the previous record of $109 million set in 2024.

OU’s “Lead On, University” strategic plan outlines the university’s goal to raise $2 billion by 2027. Since the launch of the strategic plan in 2020, OU has raised over $1.5 billion and has received a total 263 gifts of $1 million or more.

OU President Joseph Harroz Jr. wrote in the release the milestone is a reminder of what the OU community can do, calling for the university to view the achievement as an opportunity to pursue ambitious goals laid out in its strategic plan.

“This achievement not only reflects the passion and generosity of our community – it fuels opportunity, innovation and excellence across the University of Oklahoma,” Harroz wrote. “It’s a moment of celebration, but even more, it’s a launchpad for achieving our ambitious goals as an institution.”

OU also set a new single-day record on Giving Day, OU’s annual 24-hour fundraising event, raising $30 million with contributions from all 50 states and 21 countries totaling nearly 7,000 gifts.
